Ni2P nanosheets modified N-doped hollow carbon spheres towards enhanced supercapacitor performance
    2021
    Matras-Postołek, Katarzyna
Carbon materials have been attracted attention because of high supercapacitor activity. In this work, N-doped mesoporous hollow carbon spheres coated with Ni2P nanosheets are prepared by hydrothermal and calcination processes using a SiO2 template. N element doping changes the structure of hollow carbon spheres. Ni2P nanosheets are grown uniformly on the surface of the N-doped carbon spheres (N-CS). Due to the unique atomic arrangement of N-CS, the hollow mesoporous structure, and coupling with the unique composition of Ni2P nanosheets, N–C@Ni2P composites exhibit excellent electrochemical performance as supercapacitor electrodes with high specific capacitance and cycle stability under high current density.

Ransomware nowadays is one of the most critical security threats. Ransomware attacks are targeted at governments, enterprises, and casual users. Without very good backup and retention policies, it can lead to serious data damage. However, even very good data protection can’t secure data from being stolen and revealed after a successful ransomware attack. This could be also very dangerous, especially for governments and enterprises in terms e.g. of trust and confidence. We have seen many times all these kinds of problems during our professional activity. We have helped recover from many ransomware attacks. Sometimes we were able to recover almost all of the encrypted data, sometimes not even a single one. That is why we have started the project that will end with specifications and working Proof-of-Concept of the ransomware detection mechanism

Relationship between Copper, Zinc, and Copper-to-Zinc Ratio in Hair and Severity of Coronary Artery Disease according to the SYNTAX Scores

Coronary artery disease (CAD) continues to be a foremost contributor to global mortality, and the quest for modifiable risk factors could improve prophylactic strategies. Recent studies suggest a significant role of zinc (Zn) and copper (Cu) deficiency in atheromatous plaque formation. Furthermore, hair was previously described as a valuable source of information on elemental burden during the 6–8 week period before sampling. The aim of this study was to investigate the possibility of correlation between the extent of CAD evaluated with the SYNergy Between PCI With TAXUS and the Cardiac Surgery (SYNTAX) score with Cu and Zn content in hair samples, as well as with the Cu/Zn ratio in a cohort of 130 patients. Our findings describe a statistically significant inverse correlation between Cu content and the Cu/Zn ratio in hair samples and the extent of CAD. In contrast, no significant correlation was found between Zn content and the extent of CAD. Considering the scarcity of existing data on the subject, the analysis of hair samples could yield a novel insight into elemental deficiencies and their potential influence on CAD extent.

This work focuses on the production of gradient composite materials with an alumina matrix containing copper and chromium and examines the effect of the reinforcement and casting speed on the obtained microstructure. Al2O3-Cu-Cr composites with a microstructure gradient were produced via centrifugal slip casting. The research reveals that adding chromium to the Al2O3-Cu system improves the connection between the ceramic and metal particles, probably by reducing the contact angle at the interface between the ceramic and metallic phases during sintering. Additionally, it was found that higher casting speed was conducive to obtaining a better connection at the interface of ceramics and metal.
